A fabulous ‘Day at the races’! Specifically, the world famous Knockhill Racing Circuit in Fife, Scotland. The circuit was, for once, free of both midges and rain!
Corporate hospitality was courtesy of Milwaukee Yamaha for the weekend of the British Superbike Championship. The racing was excellent, though the riders struggled to keep pace with the leader board.
I met an excellent young rider called Filip Backlund racing for TAG Kawasaki and of course felt obliged to take a ‘selfie’ (see Twitter) during the grid walk prior to the race.
A great weekend of racing and entertainment at a unique racing circuit with bikes lapping the 1.3 mile circuit in 49 seconds, and the top 20 riders being within 0.5 seconds of each other!
Great stuff!
Rob.
What a great event and Rob looks like a real racing pro!
Tindle is my brother-in-law [he wasn’t on the scene when I married into the family] and I just hope that his day at the races does not encourage him to get out of the garage his 1970s Superbike-leave it to the youngsters Rob!
