Having trained in the 1980s in Newcastle with a ‘big eight’ firm, and then a medium size firm as a Partner, Rob established his own start-up firm, Tindle’s in 2000. Throughout the last 20 years the firm has lived and breathed his original and still current philosophy to provide clients with services that they actually want and not ones which are imposed by Companies Acts or tax legislation.
As an ICAEW member he held a role on the Audit Registration Committee for six years until 2012; he has also been the Chairman of the local General Practitioners Group for almost 25 years; the Northern Society of Chartered Accountants’ Treasurer for two and a half years; Chairman of CU Peat Prize Trust since 2006 and member of the Teesside Society of Chartered Accountants for 30 years, being Chairman in 1999. Rob was President of NorSCA in 2015/2016 and is currently the ICAEW Council Member for the Northern Region.
Rob also possess the unique experience of not only advising business clients but actually developing and operating his own enterprise; the Ramada Encore, a hotel situated on the Quayside in Gateshead that opened in 2012. An interesting experience at the sharp end of dealing with banks and auditors!
In addition he takes a keen interest in the local community and has been a Governor at Teesside High School in Eaglescliffe since 2010 and is currently Chair of the Board, is a former Rotary Club President and an avid Newcastle United FC supporter.

Angela joined Tindle’s as the firms first trainee in 2001 having previously worked for another local firm of Chartered Accountants. Angela was appointed as a partner of Tindle’s in 2007.
She is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Advisor and is also a Senior Statutory Auditor.
Angela works closely with our clients and provides a range of proactive accountancy, tax and advisory services to a diverse client base with a focus on identifying tax and other planning opportunities and assisting organisations to achieve their potential.
Angela has a firm understanding of corporate and personal tax and uses this knowledge to assist clients in their short, medium and long term planning.
Whilst predominantly a general tax adviser, Angela professes a love of VAT in particular but has extensive experience in the corporate tax field of Research and Development. Angela also oversees all HMRC enquiries and related matters.
Angela has a particular passion for digital services and cloud based service delivery.
Angela is an active member of the Teesside community and strongly believes in devoting time on a voluntary basis. Angela was a Governor of Redcar and Cleveland College from 2009 to 2018 and was involved in its merger with Stockton Riverside College. Angela held the post of Chair of the Teesside Society of Chartered Accountants in 2013/14 and as Co-Chair from 2015 - 2019. Angela accepted the post as Treasurer of the Yarm Preparatory School Social Committee (YPSSC) with effect from April 2019.
Angela has ultimate responsibility for the firm’s taxation, payroll and compliance services and provides comprehensive technical support to our clients.
In her spare time Angela loves baking and decorating cakes, albeit not eating them!
Robert joined Tindle’s in 2004 as a non-graduate trainee. Since joining, Robert has qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser providing him with a wealth of experience in a number of accountancy and taxation disciplines.
Robert focuses his attention on supporting the firm’s partners with taxation matters for both corporate and individual clients, including compliance and planning work.
Robert specialises in Research and Development and Capital Allowances. He also provides remuneration planning to owner managed businesses along with estate and inheritance tax planning.
In addition to the above, Robert also oversees our payroll bureau and company secretarial teams providing technical support where required.
In his spare time Robert is a keen car enthusiast and devoted follower of motorsport, in particular Formula 1.
Mark trained as a Chartered Accountant with Tindle’s after completing his MA degree in economics at Cambridge University. He obtained his ACA qualification in 2006, following which Mark accepted a post as an Audit Manager with a mid-tier firm in York before returning to Tindle’s in 2011.
Mark primarily works within the business advisory team but also has extensive experience in the auditing field.
Heather joined Tindle’s in 2008 and trained as an Accounting Technician, gaining her qualification in 2011. She went on to study ACCA and qualified as a Certified Chartered Accountant in 2014.
Heather has gained experience in a range of areas and has an in depth knowledge of Sage software products. Heather often helps our clients with their Sage accounting software; from the initial setup, to providing one to one training and ongoing assistance.
Outside of the office, Heather is a keen photographer (although not quite professional yet!) and enjoys taking her dog Twix for long walks.
Sam joined Tindle's in 2007 as a trainee Accounting Technician. Following the completion of her AAT studies, she went on to train as a Chartered Accountant, obtaining her ACA qualification in 2013.
Since joining the firm, Sam has gained a breadth of knowledge across a number of accountancy and taxation fields, including accounts preparation and statutory audit, payroll and VAT. She is also experienced in providing assistance and advice to clients with regards to Sage processing, management information and various aspects of VAT.
When she finds the time, Sam is a keen baker - her efforts are usually a cause of temptation in the office!
