When you over estimate your envelope order!

Envelope

The post arrived recently including the usual number of letters from HMRC, but one in particular caught our eye. No, not the letter, but the envelope!

As we approach the introduction of Making Tax Digital, that HMRC acknowledge by post an application made through their own online services is yes, ironic! The fact that  HMRC issue their acknowledgements using pre-printed envelopes referring to a change of bank details which is now 10 years old is baffling. Just how many envelopes did HMRC (over) order?!
